Watch this beautiful new short shot on Nikon’s newest DSLR, the D4. The music ain’t bad either!

(Pair this one with a Cam Caddie, and you’re pretty much Spike Jonze.)

D4!!

(I’m all for Photojojo’s little cam caddie thing, but please don’t be Spike Jonze, even if you could. I still have not forgiven him for “Where the Wild Things Are.”)

Sampsons Did It of the Day: Continuity announcers at Channel 4 have apparently been having some fun “mispronouncing” The Simpsons for some time now. Someone caught on and made this self-explanatory supercut.

FACT: Every channel should be doing this for every show all the time.

As we mark the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we must remember that this Supreme Court decision not only protects a woman’s health and reproductive freedom, but also affirms a broader principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters. I remain committed to protecting a woman’s right to choose and this fundamental constitutional right. While this is a sensitive and often divisive issue—no matter what our views, we must stay united in our determination to prevent unintended pregnancies, support pregnant woman and mothers, reduce the need for abortion, encourage healthy relationships, and promote adoption. And as we remember this historic anniversary, we must also continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.

Gimme Twice by The Concept

We’ve got some time before the new Phoenix album comes out, but in the meantime here’s Phoenix-sounding group The Concept, featuring members of Robyn’s band.

This, Of Monsters and Men, and Mika are making me very happy these days.

… turning your profile picture green, adding a black banner over your face, or tacking your surname onto another online petition is the adult equivalent of slapping a peace sign onto your teenage backpack. Fauxtivism is worse than nothing—it trivializes the issue, mistakes gesture for action—and makes you feel good when you haven’t accomplished a thing.

Just got back from a trip to Pagosa Springs where my friends and I took naps, watched The Sound of Music and ate junk food. It was awesome.

Seriously Funny Dramatic Reading of the Day: Ira David Wood, Executive Director of Raleigh’s Theatre in the Park (and Evan Rachel Wood’s dad), dramatically reads the sh*t out of LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It.” (Skip to 1:07.)
